It's been a busy summer. While most spent their July vacation fighting traffic and lying on the beach, we hit the mountains. All Chapters of Blue Reapers MC packed up our families and headed to the White Mountains to take over a motel/cabin for a long weekend of brotherhood. If you haven't ridden northern NH, you've missed some really great rides.
The weather was incredible all week. Some of us headed up at the beginning of the week to spend some quiet time with our families, visit the local children's parks, and get in some extra riding. By Friday, the party was in full swing. Wood fired pizza and brotherhood by the bonfire Friday night after a long day of riding kicked things off right. There's nothing like a cold beer with brothers and friends next to roaring bonfire. You KNOW you've chosen the right motel when the owner comes out to tell you that the bonfire isn't big enough.

Up early Saturday to grab some breakfast and get some business out of the way. Board meetings in the mountains don't last long. It's tough to discuss business with blue sky and winding roads staring you in the face. We wrapped things up and took off for an all day ride that covered three states and included a stop at the Blessing of the Motorcycles Memorial in Colebrook. When you go, don't forget to drop a few bucks in the bin to help maintain this site. I've ridden all over the world, but the White Mountains is still one of my favorite riding destinations. Traffic is light, the roads are winding, and the views are incredible.
We stopped at a hidden pub for lunch. This was likely the biggest crowd they've seen in quite some time, but they made room and treated us right. The rest of the day was spent in the saddle enjoying the cool air and sharp turns. Rev chose an incredible route for today's ride, and we had very little time with our feet off the pegs. Great job, Rev!
You can't end a ride with anything but food and beer. That night we were back at the bonfire with a special preparation from the owners. While we were riding, they'd spent the entire day slaving over hot stoves putting together a feast for dinner. I can't begin to pronounce the courses that came out of that kitchen, but that didn't stop us from eating them. Great food that we didn't come close to finishing. We managed to make room for desert, though.

The week was spent at Mount Jefferson View Motel. If you're looking for a place to take your crew, whether it's on bikes, sleds, or ATVs, this is the place to be. They have clean, comfortable, individual cabins and motel rooms, pool, bonfire pit, food, covered parking, and anything else you could want. The best feature of this family run business is the family itself. If it has a motor, these folks love it. They're friendly, interesting, and extremely accommodating. Biker friendly does't even begin to describe them. They'll bend over backwards to make sure you have what you need and enjoy your stay. Leave your troubles and bad attitudes at home. They'll get squashed here. It's a good time all the time. We'll absolutely be back next year.
