<![CDATA[Blue Reapers MC National - Blog]]>Mon, 26 Aug 2024 16:07:27 -0400Weebly<![CDATA[Another Summer National in the books]]>Mon, 11 Jul 2022 00:17:49 GMThttp://bluereapersmc.com/blog/another-summer-national-in-the-booksIt's not obvious that this blog was a bad idea. We're still responding to emails and contacts within 24 hours, but we certainly don't seem to be taking the time to write here. We're a little better on Facebook, but not much. We're out riding. If you want to hook up or join us at any of our locations, just shoot us a message here or on Facebook. The email button at the top works as well.

We just rolled in from a week in the White Mountains putting on some miles. It was a great time. Almost all of our rides and gatherings are open to family and friends, so feel free to join us and bring your family. Enjoy your summer, but don't forget about the snowmobiles that are patiently waiting for snow. Hope to see you on the road!

Blue Reapers MC had the honor of posting night shift security at the memorial from Saturday into Sunday. Members from NH South, Boston, and Souhegan stood by to show their respect while veterans, students, and community members visited this monument to those who gave all. Thanks for coming out.

<![CDATA[Good thing we ride more than we post....]]>Mon, 01 Aug 2016 23:33:29 GMThttp://bluereapersmc.com/blog/good-thing-we-ride-more-than-we-postPicture
It's been a crazy year for Blue Reapers MC. We've added brothers, a prospective chapter, saw a chapter get a new club house, and most importantly, said good-bye to an original member. It's always hard to lose friends, but it's devastating to lose brothers. Lumpy will always be in our thoughts and hearts as we spin around the country on two, just like he'd have wanted.

Our National Meeting was incredible this year. It's always nice to hang with brothers and associates we don't see as much as we'd like, meet the new prospects, and get some wheel time in together. This year a bunch of us did Mount Washington for the first time as a group. It was a great ride, even though we couldn't see the tail light in front of us at times. I already can't wait for next year.

I wish I could say I'll be better at updating this, but it would be a lie. We're too busy riding and living life. Friendship. Loyalty. Respect. Brotherhood. If you have it, we'll probably see you on the road.

<![CDATA[Where did the summer go?]]>Sat, 15 Aug 2015 13:57:40 GMThttp://bluereapersmc.com/blog/where-did-the-summer-goPicture
Maybe it was the late spring, but the summer certainly seems to have flown by. Fortunately, the best riding is in the fall, anyway. Warm days and cool nights make for some great rides and bon fires. We've had a summer full of charity rides, club rides, brotherhood, and growth. We've had a new club house pop up and made some new friends along the way.

We now have Friday Night Rides going out of South Central/West New Hampshire. If you'd like to come along, just drop us a message. Times and locations vary each week, depending on where we are ending up. Suggestions are welcome. Know a good place to eat or own a place you think we'd like? Let us know. We'll add it to our calendar.

As always, thanks to our supporters. We love having you along.

<![CDATA[Winter, already?]]>Sun, 23 Nov 2014 00:09:00 GMThttp://bluereapersmc.com/blog/winter-already We've had a week of temperatures below freezing, and there were only a few days spent on two wheels. Even though we'll continue to do some riding over the winter, roads permitting, it's time to end our Friday Night Rides. It was a great summer, and we appreciate the great times we had with everyone who came to join us. That doesn't mean the fun is over, though. We've just changed the day! Until spring warms things up, we're now getting together on Saturdays.

Some of us will still be riding , so if you'd like to join us make sure you get on our notification list. If you'd just like to meet us for food and drinks, the same list will tell you where and when. Leave your Saturdays free for frozen dashes and warm food. Hope you join us.]]>
<![CDATA[Seasons change]]>Thu, 23 Oct 2014 11:55:51 GMThttp://bluereapersmc.com/blog/seasons-changePicture
Summer has wound down. The weather is turning crappy. Charity rides are few and far between. For us, though, the ride continues. It's been a very busy summer for Blue Reapers MC. We've grown as a club, both in size and brotherhood. Pausing a busy schedule of community service and charity to spend time enjoying brotherhood is a much needed reset. Most of my best weekends this summer were spent off the beaten path with my brothers, shoulder to shoulder all day on the bikes then sitting around the bonfire at night for stories and beer.

We got a few extra requests for parades and other events this year. We really try to accommodate as many as we can. If you'd like us in your local parade, please reach out as early as possible so we can plan accordingly. In most cases, we'd be honored to participate.

Blue Reapers MC NH South Chapter was honored to participate in bringing the Vietnam Veteran's Traveling Wall to Salem, NH. They worked with state and community officials, law enforcement, EMS, and volunteers to make this important remembrance a success. We can't thank the clubs, public servants, and volunteers enough for their help. It wouldn't have been possible without you.

Blue Reapers MC, NH South Chapter President Mucka, and NH South Chapter Vice President Zilla were all recognized and presented awards by local officials for their hard work and dedication to this cause. They are exceptional brothers and we're honored to ride with them. NH South is our newest Chapter, but it certainly didn't take them long to make a name for themselves. Congratulations, brothers!

BRMC would love to thank everyone who participated in our success this summer, friends and brothers alike. We'll see you all at the winter parties and events while we plan for the upcoming summer. Next year we'll continue our community service, charity, and dedication to brotherhood. We have a trip or two on the agenda, so reach out to us now if you'd like are assistance with an event.

<![CDATA[Independence Day]]>Sat, 26 Jul 2014 14:00:29 GMThttp://bluereapersmc.com/blog/independence-day1Picture
It's been a busy summer. While most spent their July vacation fighting traffic and lying on the beach, we hit the mountains. All Chapters of Blue Reapers MC packed up our families and headed to the White Mountains to take over a motel/cabin for a long weekend of brotherhood. If you haven't ridden northern NH, you've missed some really great rides.

The weather was incredible all week. Some of us headed up at the beginning of the week to spend some quiet time with our families, visit the local children's parks, and get in some extra riding. By Friday, the party was in full swing. Wood fired pizza and brotherhood by the bonfire Friday night after a long day of riding kicked things off right. There's nothing like a cold beer with brothers and friends next to roaring bonfire. You KNOW you've chosen the right motel when the owner comes out to tell you that the bonfire isn't big enough.

Up early Saturday to grab some breakfast and get some business out of the way. Board meetings in the mountains don't last long. It's tough to discuss business with blue sky and winding roads staring you in the face. We wrapped things up and took off for an all day ride that covered three states and included a stop at the Blessing of the Motorcycles Memorial in Colebrook. When you go, don't forget to drop a few bucks in the bin to help maintain this site. I've ridden all over the world, but the White Mountains is still one of my favorite riding destinations. Traffic is light, the roads are winding, and the views are incredible.

We stopped at a hidden pub for lunch. This was likely the biggest crowd they've seen in quite some time, but they made room and treated us right. The rest of the day was spent in the saddle enjoying the cool air and sharp turns. Rev chose an incredible route for today's ride, and we had very little time with our feet off the pegs. Great job, Rev!

You can't end a ride with anything but food and beer. That night we were back at the bonfire with a special preparation from the owners. While we were riding, they'd spent the entire day slaving over hot stoves putting together a feast for dinner. I can't begin to pronounce the courses that came out of that kitchen, but that didn't stop us from eating them. Great food that we didn't come close to finishing. We managed to make room for desert, though.

The week was spent at Mount Jefferson View Motel. If you're looking for a place to take your crew, whether it's on bikes, sleds, or ATVs, this is the place to be. They have clean, comfortable, individual cabins and motel rooms, pool, bonfire pit, food, covered parking, and anything else you could want. The best feature of this family run business is the family itself. If it has a motor, these folks love it. They're friendly, interesting, and extremely accommodating. Biker friendly does't even begin to describe them. They'll bend over backwards to make sure you have what you need and enjoy your stay. Leave your troubles and bad attitudes at home. They'll get squashed here. It's a good time all the time. We'll absolutely be back next year.

<![CDATA[Friday Night Rides]]>Mon, 02 Jun 2014 22:51:44 GMThttp://bluereapersmc.com/blog/friday-night-rides1Picture
Blue Reapers MC Boston Chapter, and others, are starting Friday Night Rides again! FINALLY, the weather has improved and it's deck season. If you haven't been on a Friday night ride with us, you're missing out. We meet shortly after work and take a leisurely ride to dinner. It's a great way to end the week, meet new folks, and discover new places to eat.

We often change the meeting location, so make sure you contact us in advance to see where and when we'll be starting. This ride is open to all Law Abiding clubs and bikers. We're a family club, so bring your spouse. See you Friday!
